The question is, are you guys trying to get drunk while watching the Reds’ game? I mean it’s understandable to do so. I would. If that’s the case, it’s okay.
And it had a picture of Dusty Dice, which he just randomly rolls to figure out what a hitter should do at AB, batting order, etc. My favorite part is one side of one of the die has the word “WALK” crossed out. I wish I could find a picture of it.
Being a broke college kid, I’m not very well-suited to the good stuff, other than that. Maker’s Mark is probably the next step down, in my experience. I’m not sure if they have that out there, either. Some of the other RRs would be more help.
Corey Patterson is pretty terrible. The general consensus is that managers cannot negatively or positively affect to a large extent as they can in other sports, but that’s not the case for the Reds if Dusty is able to influence the GM enough to get crap like Patterson on the team. Good thing for the Reds Krivsky got fired. He never should’ve been a GM in the first place.

Man Mountain - May 21, 2008
Damn You.
I was just about to post.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
Took you too long to come up with a witty pun, eh?
Gray - May 21, 2008
That's What I Get For Going to An Ohio College.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
Which one?
BK - May 21, 2008
Wittenberg University.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
What are we drinking tonight?
I have Miller Lite, it was on sale and I was in an extreme hurry.
jch24 - May 21, 2008
ew.
I’m not drinking because at 3:30 AM, I have to drive to Burlington, VT.
Whee.
Gray - May 21, 2008
That’s no excuse to buy Miller Lite. Unless you’re beer bonging, shotgunning, or trying to get drunk on the cheap. Those are good excuses.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
The sale relates to cheapness, no?
Gray - May 21, 2008
The question is, are you guys trying to get drunk while watching the Reds’ game? I mean it’s understandable to do so. I would. If that’s the case, it’s okay.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
YES
You’ve seen us for two games. I’ve watched this shit since opening day. Grant me my quick drunk. It numbs the pain. :)
jch24 - May 21, 2008
So how's Kuroda looking this year?
Gray - May 21, 2008
More irritating than not.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
Why is Torre batting Kemp 6th again? This is ridiculous.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
One of these teams has a truly ridiculous batting order
and it’s not the Dodgers.
Gray - May 21, 2008
Yea, you’re right. I like how Votto is batting 7th, but Hairston and Patterson are batting 1-2.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
Yes.
So do we. We LOVE it.
Gray - May 21, 2008
My Friend Sent Me This Link
And it had a picture of Dusty Dice, which he just randomly rolls to figure out what a hitter should do at AB, batting order, etc. My favorite part is one side of one of the die has the word “WALK” crossed out. I wish I could find a picture of it.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
My Buddy Made That Picture!!!
We posted it for the first time here.
It was inspired by this original.
JTWood - May 28, 2008
Vin Scully Is Saying
That Janish is coming in because Hairston just got hurt.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
Doing what?
Gray - May 21, 2008
Picking cherries?
jch24 - May 21, 2008
On the banks of the hudson?
Gray - May 21, 2008
While eating Junior Mints?
BK - May 21, 2008
Well done boys
Well done.
jch24 - May 21, 2008
Sounds like he hurt his hamstring when he hit last inning.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
Okay
I realize it’s LA and there’s a ton of other shit to do, but how can Chavez Ravine be that empty when it’s not raining?
jch24 - May 21, 2008
It’s not just a joke that people show up late. People literally don’t get there until about the 3rd inning, from what I’ve been told.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
Did Everyone Leave?
Or pass out?
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
"everyone"
like, both of us?
Gray - May 21, 2008
HU!
Nice squeeze
YeagerMeister - May 21, 2008
What's More Likely?
Juan Pierre hitting a home run in real life or Ozzie Smith hitting a homer in RBI Baseball?
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
This party’s just getting started.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Party of one?
Gray - May 21, 2008
Party of Three.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
So that’s where that wind that was here an hour ago went.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Quality effort from Kemp.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
I think the Reds’ fans thought you weren’t going to be here so they all left.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
Their loss. A man has other things to do sometimes.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Oooh, don’t want Kemp going after you on a squeeze.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
As much as I love the girly drinks, there’s nothing that beats a nice whiskey on the rocks.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
You can going to put schnapps in that?
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
I was thinking some splenda.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Because I’m on a diet, you know.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Something Reds fans and Dodgers fans can agree on.
What’re you drinking?
BK - May 21, 2008
Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Well done.
I’m treating myself to some Woodford Reserve. Local stuff from Kentucky.
BK - May 21, 2008
I’m running low on my good stuff and I’m looking for something to replace it with. Any suggestions?
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Peppermint schnapps.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
Hey, Rumpleminz is 100 proof and delicious. Chugging it impresses sorority girls.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
As does the subsequent vomiting?
Gray - May 21, 2008
I pride myself on my tolerance.
Then again, I somehow got blackout drunk on three drinks last Saturday, so that hurt my confidence quite a bit.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
I just noticed your sig.
There’s a less popular NL West blog? Even before we invaded?
Gray - May 21, 2008
AZ Snakepit was, but I don’t think that’s true anymore.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
They have 225 comments on tonight's game thread
So I’m gonna go with no.
Gray - May 21, 2008
Yeah, but that’s just like the same 10 people, I get them on total readers.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
You have multiple readers?
Gray - May 21, 2008
People find me whimsical or something. Either that or they really look forward to the next Toy Cannon post.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
I like to consider myself Andrew’s #1 fan.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
They don’t have a juggernaut like Dodger Thoughts to deal with.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
AZ Snake Pit, if I recall correctly.
BK - May 21, 2008
I like Woodford, if you can find it.
Being a broke college kid, I’m not very well-suited to the good stuff, other than that. Maker’s Mark is probably the next step down, in my experience. I’m not sure if they have that out there, either. Some of the other RRs would be more help.
BK - May 21, 2008
Isn't MM everywhere?
Gray - May 21, 2008
We definitely have Makers Mark, I’ve been wanting to get some at some point.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
It's good.
BK - May 21, 2008
Just 40 more pitches till we get Cueto out of the game.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
If you’re last name is Pole or Johnson, you should think really hard before you name your kid Richard.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Fun fact: A Baskin Robbins Resses Shake has 2320 calories and 300 percent of your RDA of saturated fat.
I realize no one here actually has context on that.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Did you eat it?
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
There was a commercial for it.
My, get above 155 pounds plan fails miserably when I think most calorie rich things are disgusting.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
You’re trying to get above 155? I’ve got 40 lbs. on you.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
Most people do.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Stop dieting, man. Eat some burgers!
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
i think i'm going to become vegan
chandrathan - May 21, 2008
I have an unrealistic body image i need to atttain.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Anyone amazed that Loney has pretty much been on fire this month? I’ve barely noticed.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
I should probably flip over to the Laker game for a minute.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Well that was fast.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
I’m going to be very upset with someone if Hu ends up being a bad player.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
This is pretty nice after the Angels series.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
How didn’t that go out?
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Griffey.
That’s at least the 4th one like that, where it’s been extremely close. He can’t buy 598 right now.
BK - May 21, 2008
I have a feeling that would have been out a couple years ago. He tagged that thing and it just didn’t go.
Andrew - May 21, 2008
I’ll be back a few minutes. On the phone.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
James!
Andrew - May 21, 2008
Ah, Loney does what Junior could not.
YeagerMeister - May 21, 2008
jr sucks
chandrathan - May 21, 2008
We should trade him before he gets hurt.
BK - May 21, 2008
or he could just get hurt and we can call up bruce
chandrathan - May 21, 2008

Good thing for the Reds Krivsky got fired. He never should’ve been a GM in the first place.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
not only does patterson stay on the team, but he plays all the time
and is always at the top of the order.
that does not make me like dusty
chandrathan - May 21, 2008
You don't like Dusty?
BK - May 21, 2008
C’mon guys, Dusty gave us the high-five.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
You’d rather be rid of him than Patterson?
Andrew Shimmin - May 21, 2008
there's no getting rid of patterson
chandrathan - May 21, 2008
I was completely kidding.
Of course not, Patterson sucks.
BK - May 21, 2008
Although, that response would represent the majority of Reds fans.
This town is done with KGJ, sadly.
BK - May 21, 2008
More than Patterson?
Andrew - May 21, 2008
That's too bad
Were I in cincy, i’d be proud to have Jr. around for another season.
or at least, I’d be too pissed off about patterson to be thinking about Junior. Free Jay Bruce!
YeagerMeister - May 21, 2008
Free Darko!
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
Did Red Menace go see Indiana Jones tonight? I don’t see him around. So he really did see it before me.
Tango and Cash - May 21, 2008
I think so, he's not on RR either.
BK - May 21, 2008
Gentlemen, it's been real.
Congratulations on your sweep, and thanks for letting us hang out. See you in June! (Hopefully with a team that doesn’t suck this much.)
BK - May 21, 2008
Dodgers win
Kuroda finally gets win #2. Go blue!
YeagerMeister - May 21, 2008
Kuroda rules.
And by rules, I mean he just kept his job on my fantasy team for another week.
Gritty&Clutch - May 21, 2008
Would more outfielders help the cause?
We explore the idea here:
http://grittyandclutch.blogspot.com/2008/05/dodgers-and-angels-plan-on-signing-all.html
Gritty&Clutch - May 21, 2008
why did no one explain to these
cincy boys that the lakers were playing, and thats why it was dead lol
