LOL
delias man - September 28, 2011
He at least has an excuse pitching in Dbax home park
Joey Joe - September 28, 2011
He has given up 10 home runs at home and 19 on the road. Also he doesn’t have to face his lineup which is number 4 in the NL in homers while the dodgers are number 12.

Lots of folks hate the Dodgers as much as they hate the two AL hate-ables.

Really, if you think of it, we may be the most hated NL team. At least, historically.

drulenarendes - September 28, 2011
I think so
if he doesnt, its up in the air
shaqfor3 - September 28, 2011
For some voters, no.
He would have to hit .450 with 50 homers, 50 stolen bases, and 200 RBIs and 0 K’s to have a shot with some people.

Otherwise, the numbers would still be “comparable”.

Why is the latter a good scenario for the Red Sox?
cldpc - September 28, 2011
It isn’t. It’s the best scenario for me, because then, we get baseball tomorrow.

Even if it is Rosh Hashanah.

it was a 7 run lead
Hollywood Joe - September 28, 2011

And the Dodgers have been eliminated for weeks
Humma Kavula - September 28, 2011

I'm trying to be objective here
but I am having trouble understanding how Braun could possibly beat Kemp for MVP. Unless success of the their respective teams is all that matters, of course.
TC Blue - September 28, 2011
it's because Kemp lacks the ability to make our other guys better.
How he could develop that ability and why does it matter???, that i don’t know.
XXDC2XX - September 28, 2011
No kidding
The fact that Kemp’s numbers are better (except for average) on a line up much less intimidating than the Brewers (who get to play half their games in Milwaukee, obviously) should speak volumes.
But it probably won’t..
TC Blue - September 28, 2011
Winning team will tilt some voters Braun’s way. Having Prince on the same team may tilt some voters Kemp’s way.
I wouldn’t go out on a limb for either guy; I think you could make a realistic argument for both of them. I think it will be a very close vote. But that’s just my opinion.
KellyStephen - September 28, 2011
winning team helps for votes
but Braun leads in all advanced metrics…OBP and OPS but also wOBA, wRC+, ISO
Pure Azure - September 28, 2011
Post season doesn't count toward MVP, or does it?
Freddy V - September 28, 2011
Meaning, what Braun might do in the post season..
Freddy V - September 28, 2011
no
it doesn’t
Tommy Blackjack - September 28, 2011
I believe votes are due Friday morning
Alex41592 - September 28, 2011
Votes are due Friday, but award not given until… November?

It cuts off the throw, whcih is the most pathetic part of the play. It was like he forgot the game was on the line.
court168627 - September 28, 2011

kinbote - September 28, 2011
It almost
looks like he is not even focused on catching the ball. It’s like he was looking towards home or something…strange
Dembums - September 28, 2011
LOL Charley Steiner called Kemp’s home run a three-run homer
Eric Stephen - September 28, 2011
*sigh*
Too much to hope for new announcers with a new station next year?
TopDeckTrueBlue - September 28, 2011
I like charlie
Hollywood Joe - September 28, 2011
I dunno, I go back and forth on him. I like his casual style, but, sheesh, he really needs Lasik.
Oh, wait, that’s right, he already had that done.
TopDeckTrueBlue - September 28, 2011
Yes
The Dodgers signed all their announcers to 2012 contracts a month ago

Hollywood Joe - September 28, 2011
Is that the pre-game ritual that Vin was talking about tonight? I didn’t catch everything he said.
And, that’s a sign of a good clubhouse atmosphere, if you ask me.
